I am now involved in The Friendship Circle.  It is a organization that gives handicapped kids a place to play.  I am involved with Grant, a 7 year old ball of energy.

Derrick...and a shark!  A black tip to be exact. But they don't put satellite tags on black tips (they don't surface enough).  So...no tagging on this trip.

It was a very windy day after a night of rain storms, but 8 of us braved the weather and headed to Marjory Stoneman Douglas Nature Center on Key Biscayne.  We went up and down the beach and picked up lots of garbage.  Among our "treasures"...5 shoes, tons of bottle caps, lots of plastic, Easter eggs (some with candy), only two soda can rings (glad to know people have become more careful with those), and a pacifier!

It felt great to pick up potential hazards for the sea birds.
